June 16

An unremarkable day yesterday. It was so hot and humid that after only two hours of working the weeds and brush along our road I was sopping wet. I could literally wring moisture from my shirt. I got everything in shape to use a weed-eater on it anyway. That is my main plan for this day. The sound from the TV indicates this may be another two shower two clothes change day. Just oozing those pounds away.

Glenda had to make two trips to Osage Beach yesterday but she did finally get the two blinds that had been on order at Home Depot for 22 days. What a crap place! We had them shipped to the store instead of our house so they could cut the vanes for us on their machine. When Glenda picked them up they refused to do it. Said cutting the vanes would negate the warranty. Now who ever heard of that? She asked them to cut them anyway and forget the warranty but to no avail. I got them put up before the end of the day and cut them myself.

If you go there for any little thing it seems it almost always turns into a major endeavor. If it wasn't for the no interest or payments for a year and the fact we have some Home Depot stock I'd not buy anything there again. If all the stores are as bad as this one we should sell our stock as fast as we can. No one leaves there happy with the possible exception of the unqualified uninterested unhelpful employees as they head for home after another day of haphazardly frustrating customers, purposely I think.

Okay, okay ..... I'm going! Bye

The meaning of life.............

I made the grueling trek to speak to the wise old man who lives at the top of the mountain and asked of him, "What is the meaning of life?"

And the wise old man spake thus: ""Life is all about ass...either you are covering it, kicking it, kissing it, or trying to get it."
