June 18

Well, yesterday did turn out to be another two shower two clothes change day. Dale and I cleaned the road with our backpack blowers then while he moved some gravel with his skid-steer, I burned the leaves down the ditches. After lunch we went back and cleaned the road again. The skid-steer carries a lot more stuff than what you put into the bucket except it doesn't let you put the extra where you want.

I came home, fired up the weed-eater another time and cleaned out on the upper road above the garage and the upper part between us and next door. It turned out to be a three tick day, but I really do like all of this sweating and grunting. The extra showers are a pain but afterwards the lounging chair is double good as I sit there and read one of the four books I've started.

Glenda could concern me as she allowed another lady to pick her up for the evening. Mary Jo and she went to play bingo at the Lion's Club. She seems to be going to a lot of places with these other.....girls. Today the.....girls are planning to meet in town for lunch then do the bowling thing. I say whatever it takes....with-in reason to be happy is a good plan. Glenda is happy going and I'm happy staying. Also she did win a $50 dollar pot last night. That was a happy maker for us both.

According to our source, the TV, a huge line of storms are headed this way. The storms may or may not be severe and may or may not contain damaging winds, lightning and hail. Sounds like the weather reporter has got it covered either way it goes. Anyway I might as well do the unplugging now just in case one of his scenarios should come to pass. The picture does show the line to be a narrow one so it shouldn't last long.

There is no key to happiness. The door is always open. Go ahead, step on in.
