June 20

Had a nice meal and visit yesterday at the anniversary celebration but thankfully I was able to tear the two with me away before the music started. Even at that it was pretty late. Heck, we didn't get home till a little after 7:00. I was just sure we were going to be caught out after dark but I was wrong and we made it home in fine time.

One thing about being at gatherings of people, I would say if there are more than six, even with my hearing aids help, I end up nodding without any idea if I'm nodding in the proper direction. I think that most of the time I must nod the wrong way because folks begin to avoid talking with me after awhile. That works out pretty well but after sitting around alone among all of those people it starts to become a little un-nerving. I know the needle on my smart gauge doesn't swing very far to the right anytime but sitting there stupid for three and a half hours makes it feel like the needle is bumping the peg on the left and I don't like that very much. Sooo, I start working on Glenda. I'm thinking she left a little before she wanted to. Her not talking to me all the way home was my biggest clue. That would have been a good time to rest my strained ears some but she turned the radio on and hummed. I was mildly relieved to hear her talk this morning even if it was only to tell me to take the garbage out.

Well on with me, I've got bigger fish to fry...........Ha! I still can't even catch a small one!
