Yesterday Glenda had some neighbors over for an evening meal, the meat she prepared on the old grill. It was another good day with tasty food, a nice visit with friends and HAPPY FATHER'S DAY calls from both daughters. No hearing aid problem this time. Dale Jarrett came in third in the NASCAR race and tho the company was asked and did cook some of the food it was still a good time. Glenda still doesn't have a stove but the guy did call and she may get it sometime this afternoon.
Ruthie's birthday is the 27th but she will be into her trip to New York so we made this her birthday dinner. Sure she brought some of the food but she was rewarded with a few presents. I think she came out okay. She is going to add another number to her tally but she doesn't look even one day older. She has made it possible for us to see how people can say 39 and holding.
Rain is likely again for here and very soon if one can believe what one hears. My hearing hasn't improved any so I may have misunderstood but it is cloudy. This could sadly, ha, disrupt my lawn mowing plans. Plan B may need to be implemented..........It is a really good book.
Concrete is hard as are countertops but one of the hardest things I've encountered so far this morning is typing anything that would interest anyone very much so I think I'll just quit.
Rain just struck!
