June 25

Clouds to begin the day then sunshine then back to clouds, I can clearly see why nature is referred to as a she. Seems like again this morning she is having a typical feminine moment trying to decide what the hell she wants to do. Sometimes nature can be a bitch too, with her severe storms, tornadoes and wintry weather. Some of her terrible heat production with the very high humidity also would qualify her. Most everyone love women and some of the reason must be because of their temperament or would that be, in spite of..... .....humm. There are surely many many other reasons. Well anyway, with nature's unpredictable weather it's very possible you can also end up feeling screwed. Have you ever noticed after a huge scary storm or whatever has passed, the very high intense feelings slowly ebb, leaving you feeling a little drained and happy to be alive? Well do tell.

There are many problems associated with getting older. Now isn't that an intelligent unnecessary statement? I'm sure there are several people out there that still haven't experienced some of them yet. Tho I've not been to all of them yet either, let me mention a few . More than the need for eyeglasses, man made teeth, hearing amplifiers and the many aches and pain problems here are a few that have been printed many times before but I thought I'd throw them in again anyway in case you missed them. You won't care anymore where your spouse goes, just as long as you don't have to go along. A sexy babe that might catch your fancy could cause your pacemaker to open the garage door. "Getting a little action" can only mean things worked out and you won't need any fiber for a day. "Getting lucky" can mean you was able to find your car in the parking lot. An "all-nighter" might mean no more than you didn't need to get up during the night to pee! The final thing I'm saying on this; one more problem of being old. That is when old men, wanting so much to once again experience the very high intense feelings that slowly ebb, leaving him feeling a little drained and happy to be alive, spend most of their days sitting around wishing with all their might for a severe storm or tornado type weather. Ah, their desired relief attained, they roll over and take a nap.

Someone sent me:

Another year has passed
and we're all a little older.
Last summer felt hotter
and winter seems much colder.

I rack my brain for happy thoughts,
to put down on my pad,
But lots of things that come to mind
that make me kind of sad.

There was a time not long ago
when life was quite a blast.
Now I fully understand
about "Living in the Past"

We used to go to weddings,
football games and lunches.
Now we go to funeral homes,
and after-funeral brunches.

We used to have hangovers,
from parties that were gay.
Now we suffer body aches
and while the night away.

We used to go out dining,
and couldn't get our fill.
Now we ask for doggie bags,
come home and take a pill.

We used to often travel
to places near and far.
Now we get sore asses
from riding in the car.

We used to go out shopping
for new clothing at the Mall
But, now we never bother...
all the sizes are too small.

We used to go to nightclubs
and drink a little booze.
Now we stay at home at night
and watch the evening news.

That, my friend is how life is,
and now my tale is told.
So, enjoy each day and live it up...
before you're too damned old!

Life is a process of becoming, a combination of states we have to go through. Where people fail is that they wish to elect a state and remain in it. This is a kind of death. ~ Anaïs Nin
