Today the weather is almost the same as it was exactly one year ago, cloudy, cool with a slight chance of rain. One year and five days ago I got Poison Ivy while cutting the brush along the road. That day I also swam in the lake. Those are a couple of things that I don't see happening this year yet! Ha! I did the brush a week or so ago and was able to avoid the Poison Ivy and it hasn't been near hot enough yet, to raise my desires enough to feel the need to plunge them to the depths of the lake.
Oldest daughter LaDonna and her family will be here sometime today. The last time we saw them was in our rear view mirror on Wednesday September 17th at 4:37 a.m. as we left their house heading for home. I'm thinking a real good visit is in store for all of us. They plan to spend the night then head for Saginaw, Texas and their home in the morning.
Another reason that the visit might be as good as it could, is because the weather looks like we may all be sitting around in the house instead of boat riding or fishing. I said might because the NASCAR race will be TV on at 4:30. Maybe we won't turn the TV on.
They're also bringing their two female Boston Terriers, Gracie and Pepper, that have, in the one earlier encounter, dictated to Mikey what to play, when to play and with which toy he might play with. In the past the toy Gracie, the tiniest thing you ever did see, would let him play with was.........NONE OF THEM. I doubt that it will be much different this time. Mikey still has a good time no matter. Anything different to Mikey is GOOD.
The, Tomi strange dogs results, are a cause for wonderment but I'm pretty sure little Tomi can hold his ground even tho clawless. He can huff up to appear twice his size and really look frightful. One time outside, a strange dog came down the road and turned to come down the stairs while we, including Tomi were standing on the porch. I just knew Tomi would head out but instead he huffed up and started toward the dog. I guess the dog was not that interested so he turned and left. During this visit, Tomi will probably spend most of his time in the window above the computer ......................watching.
No wild stories, no tame stories, no stories at all today. The threat from Glenda yesterday when she thought I had storied to her on only a minor matter was enough to stop me from ever telling another story. By the way, I did not story to her!
