July 15

Another day like no other, similar maybe, but all days are unique in their own way. It's up to each of us to mold it into a happy fashion. I'm happy cutting trees so I'm thinking I'll go back to that today. Dragging them up the hill to the pile isn't much on making happy but after you quit for the day the cleared out area puts a smile on your face. Work like that makes you appreciate a lot more things you have. Like the recliner and a simple little bottle of water.

Who says we live so far out that excitement can't reach us? Yesterday when we got back from Wal-Mart where I traded our new found F20 weed-eater and $11 for a FX26 double stringed one, we saw two sheriff's deputies cars next door. They were here to arrest a supposedly contractor who has been staying there with his family. He was supposed to be working on the house getting it ready to sell but I don't think he has done much. He has done absolutely nothing to the outside but create a huge pile of junk. He is wanted on two warrants but they wouldn't tell us what they were. Anyway he wasn't there again. Around 1:00 am this morning there was some activity at the house. After watching for a little bit, we surmised the guy came for his clothes. If it was him he wasn't there long enough to call a deputy.

The wife is a case! According to her this is her third marriage and it was supposed to be the one. The deputies were here Monday for the guy but he wasn't here then either. The story from her was that after a squabble a day or two earlier he had told her that he was tried of all her crap, told her he was going to Texas then left. She said he had called her Tuesday to tell her the car was parked at Lowe's with the key on the tire if she wanted to go pick it up which she did. We talked to her yesterday and she told us that her children would be better off without her. She had no idea how she was going to be able to support them and in the conversation she mentioned suicide several times. I got a little concerned but Glenda has me convinced now that she is only playing a poor pity me role. I believe she knew where her husband was all the time and I bet she knows where he is now too. We're told she said that she will be out of the house next door by the week-end.

Good is what I say!

Larry and saw went up the hill,
cutting to make the woods brighter.

Then they'll quit for the day,
happily a pound or two lighter.....Burma Shave
