I don't believe that I have mentioned the near accident on the way home from Branson but as it happened I turned my signal to change lanes and as I looked back I had plenty of room to move over into the passing lane. The guy driving a nasty looking black Volvo that I pulled in front of seemed to have disagreed and gave a long honk of his horn. I didn't salute him or anything but did give him a wave over my shoulder as I drove on. Well, he must have been having a bad day because he dogged us and at a terrible inopportune time, as I was still in the passing lane he without signaling, pulled over into our lane forcing me to leave the road. This was just at the end of the Grand Glaze Bridge were I was quickly running out of shoulder so I goosed it and passed him and the car in front of him then pulled back onto the road way. Thinking back I believe I might have been able to get slowed enough after I was on the shoulder to let him go on but I really didn't want to be too close to him if I could prevent it. Anyway it worked out just fine and I didn't scare anyone in our car very badly. I don't know about the poor innocent folks in other car that I passed on the left. Life is just a dream isn't it?
The lady next door is supposed to be gone today. We've never seen her husband back but we could have missed him so I guess he is still free somewhere. She had a couple guys help her move some stuff out of the house yesterday. She told Russell she would be back for the rest today.
Tomi hasn't used his box for two days now. A trip to the vet for him begins this way. We feed him a particular kind of feed that is supposed to prevent the kidney stones or urinary track stones or what ever the heck it is that cats are prone to have but it might have lost it's effectiveness. He is still drinking water so it all may come to pass anyway.
I wasn't sleeping so I got up at 3:20 to 67 degree weather this morning. I just love it! It does make for a pretty long day but I've enough to keep busy so it will go quick enough. Might get a little draggy around mid-afternoon but I won't be on anyone's payroll so who cares.
How do you know if honesty is the best policy unless you've tried some of the others?
