A tad cloudy this morning but at 68 degrees we're not complaining. I haven't heard the forecast and it doesn't concern me all that much. At my age a surprise is as welcome as can be no matter where it comes from. Well I'd rule out a few things like potting in my drawers and such. Major surprises like that could make for a crappy day. I've seen adult diapers so I guess that is a possibility. Yuk! Old does have it's downsides but I don't sit around wishing to be young again. I earned the me that I am and I'm not all that unhappy about it! Thinking back, that was a terrible crooked and sometimes rough road from there to here. With all of it's hilly ups and downs, I'm too set in my ways to ever want to travel that long road again.
Southern folks probably have it right. RETARD - Verb. To stop working. Usage: "My granpaw retard at age 65." Some aspects of life can certainly dent ones mentality. Yep, I put on long pants this morning with the intentions of playing woodsman for a little while by doing a few more of the woodsman tricks as in cutting a few trees and stacking them in the pile. You never can tell what might strike your fancy when you're retard. I'm lovin it! I think I'll wear a cap, or what is that about bees in your bonnet? Maybe I won't wear anything on my head after all. No bees please!
Yesterday the contractors wife got her last load of furnishings and brought us the house key. After she left we went over and looked at the place. What is wrong can be righted with the exception of a missing $800 pressure washer. I guess the contractor need that on a job somewhere. She did tell us that a guy down the street had a couple of the neighbor's ladders, a post hole digger and a shovel that her husband had taken there to use. The neighbor was supposed to bring back but hasn't yet.
Tomi seems might neigh normal this morning and did use his litter box during the night. It doesn't take much to make old folks happy and that sure slapped a huge smile across my face this morning. I know it might be hard to imagine smiling happily as one cleans out a litter box but it can happen. He has had his morning petting time and now he's trying to catch up on his sleep laying on the window ledge. A Lark comes to mind, as in happy as.
The greater part of our happiness depends on our dispositions and not on our circumstances.----Martha Washington
