July 22

What we did yesterday..................We....I took the weed-eater and cleaned the sides of the road for about a quarter of a mile which would, including both sides, be about one half of a mile working and walking.  Then I returned using the blower on the same area which would mean another half mile of walk.  All of this came after the walk that I took first thing of about two miles that Mikey and Glenda accompanied me on except they decided to quit after the first third of the short journey.  Wet from sweat was an unavoidable thing except I enjoyed it all.  I changed clothes and promptly wetted the second set.  We traversed to the dock after a lunch and got into the lake for a cool down and some  welcomed cool exercise.  This is really a very nice life!

Sure it could be better, but for some of us old folks, to be all you can be, may require help from things like Viagra or some other kind of drug.  This doesn't absolutely mean that you must 'pay to play' but most of the people I know like to give it their best, no matter what kind of game they're playing.  Some might even cheat.  With a lot of older folks there probably won't be too much of the, spur of the moment cheating, at least in the game of love.  That might be good. Nature sure can be cruel as she doles out her blessings.

I came up short yesterday, maybe I should have some Viagra.  No, I came up short in my quest to lose three pounds.  I only got the body to release one.  As much as I perspired one would have thought three would be a done deal but it wasn't.  I guess the can of mixed nuts that Glenda brought home might have played a role, plus I had a few pork rinds too.

None of that for me today!  I'm planning on taking three trees out of our little yard.  I'll need to cut them up in order to carry them up the hill but I think I can handle that.  Glenda hates to cut the tree that has the red flowers on it for six days a year but it also has nasty pods on it for over a month.  It is bowed over so badly that I'm sure it is just a matter of time before the roots give way leaving a huge hole.  I'll save the top of that tree by tying it to some concrete blocks and pushing it off the side of our dock thereby enlarging our Crappie bed.

Glenda is going to cook all day.  It's She and Ruthie's turn to cook for and serve the meal at the bingo parlor tonight.  I may get a sample if I play my cards right.
