Yesterday was nice, still a little cool but enjoyable.  Except we had to have new brakes put on the car at $255.00.  Seems ridicules to have a car so you can go then spend oodles and gobs on it so you can stop.

Heading for Columbia first thing this morning.  Youngest daughter is going under the knife around 9:30 and we thought we would be there in case a little support might be appreciated.

We're still into some very nice weather.  This morning started at 59 degrees and isn't supposed to get out of the 70's.  Missouri is sure full of surprises. 

One surprise that I'm glad I've not had to contend with is while wading through the ditches, through the leaves and underbrush wielding the saw or the weed-eater, I haven't been surprised by an Osage Copper head.  I did kill one on the road during a walk and another was sighted yesterday in the same area by a couple of kids on a four wheeler but they wisely turned and fled without trying for a kill.  I'm going to be a lot more careful than I have been.
