July 31

Fine day shaping up here if you're a boater, skier or PWC owner. What with the bright shinning sun and temperatures forecasted to be near 90 for the day. Another group of happy people will be the dock repair folks.

I imagine a ride on the old dock would be an exciting pursuit today. We could play a game of 'Here to There'. You put on life jackets then go to the dock. You start at one end of the dock with a full glass of water and try to walk to the other side without falling in or spilling any of the water. You're not allowed to catch yourself by holding on to any of the uprights. That would disqualify you. Of course disqualification would be better than being tossed into one of the boat wells. If we can get enough players we could charge a small fee, rake about 20% off the top for the dock repairs that will be needed then pay the rest out in prizes.

Thinking about that We've decided that it would be too dangerous and we're not sure if our insurance would cover it. That leaves us with the, 'close the blinds and turn up the sound', option.

Reading is a good outlet. It is the only way that one can stay at home and go to about any place in the world. You would think that television could do that too but with the commercials and all the other interruptions there are too many trips back and fourth between home and where ever. It wears a man out!

Enjoy your day!
