Late today! We had computer problems! First it didn't start up all the way and made a bad continuous noise and I couldn't shut down with the button so I turned the power off then restarted it. Same thing. I shut it off and re-started it the third time and a blue screen came up saying it was checking one of our disks for consistency then it didn't fully open again. I tried again and got a thing that said it was unable to initialize error 0x20000017. I shut it off again and went to the other computer to see if I might have something on it to tell me how to start windows XP in the safe mode. It didn't and I can't get on-line with it. I tried for the safe mode by holding the ctrl key as I started up the computer one more time. I didn't get the safe mode but believe it or not it all loaded okay and here we are.
Unfortunately reading the incoming, with the problems encountered and the attempts to fix them has caused all of my morning allocated computer time to run it's gauntlet. I am stealing from my, do something else, time to send this. I still don't know how to start the thing in safe mode but the search for that will need to wait until this evening.
