Wowee! You may not believe it but I had a good time yesterday! I'm told by everyone else that they enjoyed it too. I didn't realize how busy we were at it until on the way home it was remembered that we had failed all day, to stop at a beer garden for a glass of beer. We did however, find time to try a couple samples of some Missouri wine. Hot was there along with humidity but they were largely not that noticeable. Rain wasn't even in the picture after we left the house. A really nice outing!
Either my age or the lack of importance we put on regular everyday happenings has caused me to really appreciate keeping the calendar in Microsoft Works. Without it I wouldn't know what we did, day before yesterday. Yesterday is usually about as far as my mind can pull up and it misses a few things. I may need to do the calendar at the end of the day instead of at the beginning of the next day.
We had a computer crash a couple years ago so my memory is limited. On this day last year it was a Monday and it was very very hot. It had started out at 5:15 at 76 degrees. I didn't keep the high for the day. Anyhow the Struebbe's took us and Ruthie via tritoon to the Time Out restaurant where we all took advantage of their Monday taco special. I wouldn't have known that! On this day in 2002 the empty calendar says it was a Sunday.
Today a trip to the dentist in Jeff City is Scheduled. The trip will also include a visit with Lena. Leaving here will cause me to miss the tree cutters removing two trees at Russell's house and I'll miss the guy carving a bear out of a tree stump down the road again. Makes me wonder if I'm still a mister or if I'm now just a miss.
I'm father down the road of life than I've ever been before and I need to see what is here. New territory, new findings.
