Another day just slipped up and enveloped us with sunshine! Yep, nary a cloud to be seen. The temp is only 64 right now but that will change to a higher number as the day progresses. A perfect day to have company! Well, there is a stiff breeze that does reduce the high marks of perfect somewhat but I'm sure it will still be tolerable by all.
Old age has been stealing some of the wind for my sails lately. I've tried to counter this by getting a mite heavy so as I walk up the hill to the mailbox the old lungs start huffing big time in an effort to replace the stolen wind enabling me to sail right on up the hill. You would be surprised to see how much help that the wind from the wings of a horsefly is for you to speedily take the hill. Damn! When they bite they draw blood!
My daughter and her husband gave us each a walking stick which I carry to keep the flees off. I've made the walk enough times now that the legs hardly protest anymore but my back is usually pretty badly bruised from the beatings of the walking stick.
Now I'm told there are several things needing my attention before the company arrives........
Condoms should be used on every conceivable occasion...............DB
