Had to shut down yesterday around 9:00 because of a super storm. Lighting, thunder and rain came for a visit and we thought it would never leave. When it did it left behind a full cloud cover, a disabled computer/TV cable and four inches of rain. The cable company finally got the juice back into the cable so we're at it again. Probably not for long tho, as another storm is on the way here following the one that hit this morning around 3:00 am. That one left another half inch of rain. Flood warnings abound for Morgan and Camdenton counties. Another good day to spend reading seems to be in the making.
I sowed some grass seed about a week ago and the first bit of moisture it received was the four inch rain. I imagine that hard rain thwarted my plans for grass where I intended it and moved it to somewhere else. At least the bare spots are still bare. Might be I'm looking and hoping too soon.
I'm looking and hoping to end this soon too! I'm positive no one will call it too soon. 'Too soon' sounds a little oriental doesn't it.
"Somebody has well said there are only two kinds of people in the world. There are those who wake up in the morning and say, "Good morning, Lord," and there are those who wake up in the morning and say, "Good Lord, it's morning."
