August 7

A tad uncomfortable sitting here this morning. I spent quite awhile yesterday watching some guys cut down and remove four trees down the road and almost froze my butt off. The wind was pretty stiff and the temperature was low. I don't see how the tree climbing guy could hang on like he did. I was warmed several times as fear for the guy enveloped me. That is a dangerous job but he was good at it. They left one stump about twelve feet high. They told me that the owner was going to have a standing bear carved out of it.

Glenda did go bowling yesterday and bowled a game of 212. Not too bad for an old person. However, it just barely topped her mothers game of a few weeks ago of 211. Her mother is all of 86. Age is not the decider of success, desire is the main factor.

Desire, faith along with some hope make living a life worth all of the, 'trip you's', along the way. Lena win's because she believes she will win, She bowls good because she knows she will bowl good. She went to the boat at Boonville Tuesday and came home a $600 winner. She went back Wednesday and won $900. Her lady friend Pat hit a Royal for $4,000.00. I know a positive attitude does wonders, but such a hard nosed Democrat that she is, she has got to have doubts about the Kerry/Edwards ticket. We do worry some about the intensity of her affections for that side. It will all work out in the end! She is a delightful lady!

Hope is on the way, is the words of the Kerry/Edwards bunch. Can you figure out why we need them in office to begin hope? What do they mean? If they get elected does that mean we'll begin hoping for their four years to be up so we can replace them. What kind of hope are they going to give us? The only people that I know without any hope are sadly, only those of whom I knew. I believe once you're placed into a casket you're pretty devoid of any hope.

I'll bet you've been hoping this last line would have come sooner.

A man needs a mistress just to break the monogamy..........DB
