We got free playing money at the Gold Rush and Sunset Station yesterday. I turned mine into a little bit more before we headed home. I think I picked up an extra $24.00. Glenda started the day with only $6.25 in her purse but managed to bring home $11.00.
Picked up a couple of nice metal picture frames as the free (ha) gift of the day at the Fiesta and they paid us a little to get them. It was a nice day!
Helped Uncle Carl put up some Christmas lights while Glenda and Ruby went on the home tour. After we got the lights up I walked home. It was a 53 minute three mile walk. Quite a joy...........................to get sat down in the old easy chair after I got home.
Aunt Ruby paid Glenda's fare for the home tour which they did going from home to home in our car. I believe she said they looked at five homes. What I can't believe is the cost was $10 each. What a big rip that was! I'm thinking of setting this place up for tours next year. I'll go with around $2.50 which ought to make it a very desirable tour for retirees and the cost conscious.
There was some talk of staying home today but our larder as well as our refrigerator is empty. Everything, including meals is higher on weekends except at the grocery stores so I suspect we'll visit one of those today.
