January 17, 2005

Took a measured 3.5 mile walk down Veterans Memorial Drive yesterday. It cuts through a golf course. I picked up and carried home 26 golf balls. While I had the balls I tried to think of something that I had always been afraid to attempt and give it a shot but I was unable to come up with anything. Well, I did think of a couple of things but 28 balls seemed to be a little short to make the move, so I just emptied my pockets and watched the football games.

The healthy walk made me thirsty and hungry so I got me a beer and a bowl of Spanish peanuts to tide me over till supper. Glenda commented that the stuff probably negated any health benefits derived from the walk but I pointed out to her that is was a "Light" beer. Sooo!! I still lost two pounds yesterday.

The loss may not have had anything to do with the walk. It is so hard to come up with anything humorous to type that it has got to be a real weight losing exercise. My struggles take several minutes and I usually give up and just type some crap. "On a day like today, I passed the time away, typing junk to the screen." I've wasted enough of our times............Bye
