I did the walk yesterday despite the eleven plus miles per hour wind. It sure did strain me to make it back home with the wind in my face. My body provides too large a target for the wind. The only blessing I could come up with is the fact it would be worse if I walked sideways. The aerodynamics are a lot better facing the wind head on rather than hitting it with the side of my nose and stomach.
The meal yesterday was a winner as far as I'm concerned. On top of that it was really good. I think the visit before and after was a good thing too. It was enjoyable!
Today there is a $5 bill waiting for each of us at Sam's Town. We only use $3.43 worth of gas to get there and back so I'm thinking we'll make the trip. The gas prices have risen pretty sharply in the past few days. The figure above assumes we can still find it for $1.899 per gallon.
Another stop will be at the library to look for the book "Bury the Lead" by David Rosenfelt. The youngest daughter recommended it. I think too, it's the book of the month or something like that.
Ability is what you're capable of doing. Motivation determines what you do. Attitude determines how well you do it. ~Lee Holz
