The Buffet at Railroad Pass was free last night but we stayed awhile afterwards waiting for Mike to come in from his new job. That wait changed the price of the buffet somewhat. On top of that the offerings weren't very good either. We still have some two for one coupons but we've ran out of points so that's the end of that. I sure wouldn't pay their $7.99 fee even if we did get two of them for that price.
It has been pretty nice around here lately. I believe the birds think it's spring because they have started stacking up. I saw a three stacker yesterday. I could have felt sorry for the poor guy in the middle but he didn't seem to mind. I guess the added action just created more jig for his jigging and besides if you're going to dish it out you might expect the possibility that someday it may be dished out to you.
The beautiful mating calls of the Dove and the California Quail aren't! They were kinda nice for a day or two but Geez! Day after day after day, it losses it's appeal. That may only apply to humans at least it does to me. What an aggravating sound! Do you think they shut up to mate?
A pretty good rain going here this morning. Two tenths already and it's forecast to continue through then day. It's not just water over the bridge yet but some of the streets in Las Vegas and Henderson will be flooded.
A nice day to lay back with a good book but we've got to visit the Fiesta for some free playing money, the Joker's Wild for a free gift, Sam's town for a free gift and Station Casino for yet another free gift. If we don't play at any of the stops I'd sill haft to admit none of it is free, just prepaid for at another time.
Mikey wouldn't make it as a mailman! Through rain and snow he won't. This morning he tried to pick the paper up but after only a small effort to get it in his mouth with the rain banging him on the back he gave it up. I had to go down and move the paper under the overhang to get him to bring it in. A fair weather helper is all we have here.
Well another message that really isn't. The least I/we can hope for is with the practice they might improve.
