Now we've awaken to this morning's sun,
let us not gamble but still have some fun.
Yesterday wasn't a very pleasant outing for me, I got carried away. Glenda held her ground tho, and brought a little extra money home. As it is I'm not going to be in a casino today so it's looking up for me. I'm going over to help Carl trim his trees and bushes while Glenda and Ruby go out on the town. I like to work when I want to and that is what I get to do helping Carl. The only problem we've had in the past was him trying to pay me. If you accept pay it becomes a job and I don't want a job! Beyond that, what if he decided I should pay him for taking care of this place in our absence. He wouldn't even accept reimbursement for a water leak he discovered and had repaired. I owe, I owe and they don't have enough chores for me to even things out!
Before we left to meet the Krohn's at the Sunset for our very expensive free buffet I did make the 3.5 mile trek along the golf course but only found four golf balls. I must be walking faster because it only takes a couple or four minutes over an hour. I walked before, at a pretty constant three miles per hour which always put me back in an hour and about ten minutes. Who says old age slows you down?
We received over an inch of rain last weekend and now the forecast is for more of the same the latter part of the week with a chance for showers this evening and tomorrow afternoon. Can you believe we had 92% humidity here on Sunday? It has sure rained a lot so far this year and during November and December of last year. It was said that the area has experienced unnatural weather conditions for the past three months. That happens to coincide with our arrival here. Hummm. I guess we brought a little Missouri with us.
Well, if I had anything informative or interesting to say I'd type it. I think it's lucky that I could bluff it this far. I feel I shouldn't punish me or anyone else any further so here is the end.
NEWS FLASH! Glenda and Ruby aren't going after all.
The way I see it, if you want the rainbow, you gotta put up with the rain. ~Dolly Parton
