February 18, 2005

Yesterday was a good day only saddened by the need to tell the Las Vegas visitors goodbye. But, we had to do it so now we're left with the need to look at the positive side of life for our happiness. I suppose having a relatively healthy life is enough positive to carry us if we think about it.

Me losing at the machines is a negative but Glenda is winning and that is a positive. Total that and you'll see we have two positives with only one negative. Glenda is feeling really good about the positives but believe me, the two positives aren't enough to right my wrong! I do like the life, but asking Glenda for money and seeing her snarl her nose at me as she grudgingly hands me a dollar bill doesn't make for a very happy occasion.

I'm thinking she can use my card and hers too, for the free money at Sunset and at the Fiesta that is on the list for today. She may make us a little money as I set here reading a book. I really feel sure that she will divide it up when she gets home. This way I have a chance of winning without the common element of possible/probable loss being involved for what little is left in my pocket. Also, under these circumstances, I don't think Glenda will snarl as she shares a few of our won dollars.

Always try to judge your success by what you had to give up in order to get it.~The Dalai Lama
