Yesterday the free gift at the Sunset was $3.00 as was the free cash at the Fiesta. That $12 would have made the trip worthwhile but the prospects of doubling or tripling that was just too much for we weaklings................Well, we did enjoy ourselves!
Today there are gifts at both places. I think it is drinking glasses of some kind at Sunset and a wristwatch of some kind at Fiesta. In spite of it all I suspect we'll probaby make the trudge.
Zeal, what a terrible thing to lose! I know this for a fact. It can be a lot like your youth, slipping away just a little at a time until all of a sudden you realize it is almost all gone. Both of these have been being sucked away from me for some time now. Time is the rascal that caused the youth to go but I'll be darned if I know the reason for the zeal's absence. I may not be able to recoup my loss of youth but by golly the zeal can be replaced and I'm going to work hard at it. I stayed up pretty late last night reading but still got up early. That could be a contributing factor but, until I can get a tiny bit of it replaced, type to you later.
Life is a process of becoming, a combination of states we have to go through. Where people fail is that they wish to elect a state and remain in it. This is a kind of death. ~ Anaïs Nin
