March 20, 2005

End,

A grand feed yesterday at the Krohn's along with some visiting with them and the Mongomery's. The Montgomery's great grandson keeps them awfully busy and with Bill working nights, visiting with them is a rarity even tho they only live three blocks away. T'was a good deed that Aunt Ruby was responsible for and Glenda basked in the honor. We know some sweet and thoughtful people then we know some extra sweet and extra thoughtful people, both Aunt Ruby and Uncle Carl are in the latter group!

Glenda doesn't outwardly show any pain that might be associated with turning the big 60 but she doesn't seem to find very much humor in any jokes or statements that refer to her advancing age. I did slip a fugitive feel in after she went to sleep last night. As to the best of my recollection, I would say she doesn't feel even a tiny bit older, but you know how unreliable old folks memories can be.

Today we're going to use our time wisely. The most wise part of the uses is the absences of any gambling parlor visits in our days plan. I can't really pin down the second wisest use nor the third, fourth or fifth but I'm positive they are there. I'd say staying at home about says it all.

Since all has been said, it stands to reason that there isn't anything left to say. Bye might be one possible word that could be crowded in with the rest of the nothing. Good things always come to an end. If you've read this far you must have missed the good part.

"There is a boundary to men's passions when they act from feelings; but none when they are under the influence of imagination." -Edmund Burke
