May 13, 2005

Rain mixed with darkness awakened us pretty early this morning. Nothing scary but it did sound kinda nice. I had to get up and unplug the computer and thought I needed to get some cushions in off the swing before they blew away. Outside in my underpants looking for a couple of cushions by the light of the lightning bolts, all for naught. I figured they had already blown away but found them in the computer room. Glenda had brought them in last night.

Since I was up anyway I just put some clothes on and went down to the recliner. Reading a book and listening to it storm wasn't a bad excursion but 3:30 am is a mite early. The lightning and thunder have eased up to almost nothing so I plugged this baby back in to read the news.

A good book reading day is in the making. I believe rain will be around, off and on all day, with the possibility of severe weather later this afternoon. Glenda plans on blessing the old folks at the bowling alley with her presence leaving no need for the TV to be on. The rainy weather allows reading without an accompanying guilty feeling and no TV on makes it possible.
