I finally made a ten minute try for Crappie yesterday and the day before. Caught two both days but it was necessary to make many casts per. I released them of course. Now I would say for sure, if you want to catch Crappie you need to hunt them first. Unfortunately I didn't get a hunting license this year. Well, I don't want to start the boat!
The game I've made, be it Hillbilly Golf, Snakes, Ladder Golf or Bolo is a pretty neat game. We've take an hour or so each day since I finished them and the winning isn't all that regular. Makes for a better game when the winners change around so often. Out of five games yesterday I did win 3 of them to Glenda's 2 but it could just as easily gone the other way.
To play you set these three tiered racks 35 feet apart and toss the short rope with a golf ball attached at each end at the rack. The idea is to wrap that snake around one of the tiers. The top one scores 3, the middle 2, and the bottom one 1. The first player throws all three of his snakes and then the second player throws his. If you have four playing, its like horseshoes, the team members toss them back. The first team to reach 21 wins. There is more to the scoring but I'll not go into it here. If you want to know ask me.
Today my sister and her husband is supposed to be dropping by for a short visit that may be as long as two nights. One full day but we're not sure how much of the other two days will be spent in the coming and going. The last time I saw my sister was at 9:07 am Tuesday, September 16, 2003. It will be good to see them!
In every conceivable manner, the family is link to our past, bridge to our future.~Alex Haley
