June 9, 2005

Dory made the rounds yesterday just fine. She wasn't particularly found of the cutting tho as the cutter kept trying to cut before the area was numb. When Dory's screams advised her of her error she would do the needle bit again shooting more number around the site. This must have happened several times and caused Dory some un-needed grief so I'm told. At one time she was on the verge of passing out but the nurse started fanning her. Going in Dory's biggest concern was the needle and she got it many times. The first bandage that they applied didn't work very well when she stood up. She said blood began running down her leg and onto the floor. She said she had blood everywhere and on everyone near before they got it stopped and a bigger bandage put on. Mikey and I waited for her in the car and she wasn't in there very long at all when she came out walking pretty fast, looking over her shoulder and without a limp. We won't know what the removed growth was for about two weeks. They think it was just a fatty mass except it was hard which caused the doctor to muse that made it very interesting. He even thanked Dory for contributing such a thing of interest into their day. It really must have been a harrowing experience for Dory because she never ever walks fast!

I thank Dory for her contribution for the inspiration for this typing too.......Well, it may be of interest to some.

Best of days to you, Hunky and Dory

Inspiration is wonderful when it happens, but the writer must develop an approach for the rest of the time... The wait is simply too long. ~Leonard Bernstein
