September 9, 2005

It was a struggle but I finished the lid for the septic tank, hooked the rubber tube to the motor and plugged it in. THE MOTOR WOULDN'T RUN! It only hummed a little and I think the tune was, "ain't gonna work no more no more". I'm thinking we'll take the motor in next week to see of it can be repaired.

Sallie took Glenda and they were going to eat out so at lunch time I came into the house to make a sandwich for myself. NO BREAD! I finally found a loaf in the deepfreeze, one of those we got for 50 cents when the bread store closed down. I had to use a knife and hammer to pry a couple pieces loose from the loaf then put them in the micro wave for 40 seconds. They tasted decent with a chunk of Spam and an extra large hunk of onion. I like to fold a single piece of brad around the Spam and onion. That way I get two sandwiches. After I finished them, I kind of wanted another one but decided it would be too much trouble.

Mary Jo is taking Glenda for her treatment today and I'm riding along with Dale to Fulton for a few pieces of concrete pipe for his lower lot.

Gotta go now mater of fact.

It is a mistake to regard age as a downhill grade toward dissolution. The reverse is true. As one grows older, one climbs with surprising strides.~George Sand
