October 7, 2005

43 degrees outside this morning with a good stiff breeze. That makes for another stay inside kind of day and the wearing of long pants. Shoot it is only 67 degrees inside. The sun did finally find a hole in the clouds but the hole quickly moved on leaving the sun to look for another one. The clouds are mostly white, you know the kind that makes nightmares out of riding in small planes. Nowhere on the ground could you find a road that rough.

The water trying to escape the lake, raising as a fog type mass, makes the lake appear to be on fire. Well, you may need to stretch your imagination a little but it sure does look smoky. Smoldering! That's the word, smoldering. The whole lake looks to be smoldering.

I've let my fingers do the talking and without a tiny bit of input from the head they're just about lost. The old head doesn't seem to want to cooperate so I had best corral my fingers before they get nasty. db

In truth, politeness is artificial good humor, it covers the natural want of it, and ends by rendering habitual a substitute nearly equivalent to the real virtue.~Thomas Jefferson
