How much and when do you tip a door man? It depends on the door man I would think. The one we have accepts no tips but he wanted paid a third up front so he could be sure that we're committed to the project and wouldn't be sticking him with some doors that he had to order. The rest of the cost is to be paid on completion of the installation and the amount was based on the quality and quantity of doors we wanted. We'll need to go without quite a few frills for awhile, which means no more chopped ham and several other favorite foods but we'll make it somehow.
Today is starting to look better than a bit earlier. As I look out the little window I see what appears to be a struggle by mother nature as she pushes the sun trying to give birth to another day. The fog raising from the quite and still surface of the water as if trying to meet the sun part way. The stillness of the water is broken here and there as a fish makes or misses it's morning meal. I see the damn Sparrows as they jabber and prance back and forth as if flaunting their ownership of our Purple Martin bird houses and there goes a damn noisy wave runner making a terrible mess of the view.
Our door man just arrived so less deep is the plan for this small pile of nothing.
