By George we got all the doors installed! They were really installed by Victor but I don't recall that ever being a saying. The doors sure work better than the old ones but from a casual glance they don't look all that much different. Because of the Low-E coating, (a microscopically thin, transparent metal or metallic oxide layer on the glass) they probably appear a bit darker than the old ones. In our case the coating in three of the doors, (8 panels) is faulty. The faults are only visible in the proper conditions and with very close scrutiny. My meticulousness window washing afforded the close scrutiny and also slowed down the task to a speed that allowed several different conditions to occur. After I noticed one tiny blue streak I/we began looking them all over real well. The contractor has already ordered replacement panels and expects to have them in a couple weeks. It shouldn't take long to change them out and in the meantime we're happy with what we have.
Right now I've got to fire up this big old ass and get things cracking, the kids will be here shortly and the Branson trip will begin. I have my hearing enhancements stuck in my ears and can readily hear most all my old used joints crack depending on the movement. Without the aids it usually sounds more like a creak.
