Yesterday is dead and gone, and tomorrow's out of sight, and it's glad to be alone, help us make it to the night. Butchered it a little but I'm hoping we can make it to the night anyway. One more day, or it could begin to taper off mid to late afternoon, when most the half soused campers scurrying around trying to make happy are heading for home. What they leave ain't so good to see but there will be many of us happy campers hanging around as the unsightly wake dies down. We happy campers will venture out to assess the docks for damages and a repair sequence will be mentally composed. For us, as far as I know, it will be mostly electrical. Not a bad deal at all if most of the lake is returned to the full time inhabitants and weekend fishermen. Labor day weekend is called something like, the last big weekend and a bunch of us hope that is so.
So far as I know there has been only one drowning in our cove so far this weekend. (“He was very intoxicated, which is typical of the fatalities this time of year,” Walz said.)
Time is never wasted when you're wasted all the time.~Catherine Zandonella.
