Only one bass boat so far this morning so things are starting to look a lot better. I've no doubt that it will take a couple days for all the waves to subside and cease the beating the shit out of the docks and shores, tho I suspect it will take a little bit longer for all that froth to dissipate, be reabsorbed or evaporate whatever it does to go away. At least we made it through the ordeal whole.
I believe Dory and Ruthie have a 'to town trip' lined up for today. Dory has already given me a short list of 'to do's' that she says I might consider doing. Isn't that nice? Believe me, might consider doing is a very strong suggestion that comes mighty close to being an order around here. She has already prepared my lunch so it isn't too bad. Yep, Laid out the last two pieces of baloney and three lettuce leave on a plate then put it back in the refrigerator so it won't spoil before I finally get around to eating it. She didn't pull that skin off the edges of the baloney but I can do that okay.
The biggies on the list are the mowing, blowing and beating down the weeds with a gas powered beater. A more proper statement would be that I'll beat down weeds with the lawn mower and then beat down what the mower couldn't reach with a weed-eater. Then blow off the road, walks, porch, deck and all the excess of the beat down hay. Here is a Dory quote; "You need to get it done before the three days of rain that is forecast begins. All that rain could cause it to become totally unmanageable."
I'm thinking a small cow tied in the yard could lessen the mowing and that's no bull. Of course there would be quite a bit of shoveling required but we do a lot of that around here anyway. So much in fact that some we just stick into an email then click send to flush.
