I learned out about the "waste not want not" yesterday during Glenda's absence and this morning. For lunch yesterday, I had the two pieces of baloney with lettuce but as I was getting it all out of the fridge I noticed several other leftover eatables things. Thinking I was hungry and also that the leftovers were just going to waste I pulled it all out and ate them too. Overly full afterwards the want not came to pass but this morning the scales told me the sad tale that the waste not failed. Eating all that so it wouldn't go to waste went to waist anyway. Most everything I eat too much of always seem to congregate at my waist. Well actually, I guess I don't have a real waist anymore but because of all the stuff gathering there is why.
It is not true that all fat people are jolly! Matter of fact a real good laugh can set the mound and hangers on to jiggling and may continue long after the funny is gone. Too much jiggle, shaking all that excess around, can create an uncomfortable soreness in the area that might last for a day or more. With a little chuckle somewhere along the line it could last even longer. Fat folks might make a smile but the memory of the results of a good laugh pretty well suppresses those belly laughing spasms.
Dory plans a visit to her mothers while I stay home and keep a look out for unwanted intruders. Thankfully all the leftovers are gone so I'll stick with the usual chopped ham on lettuce that Dory replenished yesterday.
If you can't make it better, you can laugh at it. ~Erma Bombeck Better make that smile at it.
