So far our gauge shows that we've only received about 43 millimeters of water from the rain. Even tho the sun is shining brightly right now we're told that the rain isn't over yet. We're also told that a study has shown that early risers are more prone to heart problems. Now I have an excuse for sleeping in but a problem will be in trying to convince my body to lay in there. That won't do it! The head wakes up before the body rises so it is the head that I need to work on. Yeah, you're right, for many more reasons than sleeping.

It cooled down to just under 70 degrees and that was cool enough for Dory to declare it to be chili time. She has a huge pot making on the stove right now and the smell of it drifting downstairs where I am and is about to cause a strangling. I'm not hungry but that smell is sure causing my mouth to water, so much so that I'm beginning to worry about the possibility of all that saliva filling up so much of my breathing passages causing some severe problems.

Oh, by the way, 43 millimeters is on one side of the line and on the other is 1.7 inches.
