December 3

A delightful day to begin our yesterday then things changed. At 5:30 it was 63 degrees. At 8:30 it was 69 degrees. At 11:00 it was only 44 then sometime mid-afternoon it got down to 34. It rained and the wind blew like a banshee but that all came with the warmer weather and was gone by the time it got cold. 27 to start this morning but as daylight began sneaking in it went down to 23. A beautiful bright and sunshiny day with a disappointing wind causing a wind chill factor of 18 degrees.

Dory has plans to ride thru the sunshine with all the windows up and the heater on with a huge coat riding her shoulders. She is going to visit mom, Ruth and Sue if time allows. She also needs to stop at a couple stores too.

I've no plans other than to protect her home place and the few animals that we allow to hang around. Ah heck, I'll probably read some too.

About dusk Friday evening we noticed a car driving down our street like they were just nosing around. This caused me to walk the street Saturday morning checking the doors and windows at every house. Everything was just as it should be but I'll do the walk again today or tomorrow. "Walkin in the sunshine singin a little sunshine song." Boy now that's a noise you wouldn't want to hear.

No entertainment is so cheap as reading, nor any pleasure so lasting.~Mary Wortley Montagu
