Already into the second day of 2008! Man, where does the time go anyway. I made a trip outside this morning and it was almost over before it got started. A little breeze pushing that 12 degree temperature all over you causes a very quick scoot back into the house I'm telling ya. Even at that my nose began to run and before I got back inside and the cold froze my nasal passages shut. Back in the house it took me more that three minutes just to get my nose thawed out.
Thank goodness the heat pump guy got the outside unit up and working New Years Eve. Seems to be working fine at this time. Other than the delay in getting it all hooked up the most hurt was when he ripped the two or three pounds of flesh out of my rear end. Well, it seemed like that happened when he pulled the check out of my gripping fingers. It'll take awhile paying that off with it coming out of those two paltry social security checks. But......that is still better than trying to do it on our looks.
Today is going to be a lot of work in putting the things back into the closet and deep freeze room. They did need cleaned out but it stirs my ire to be forced into something before I'm ready. In moving the stuff out I did find a few things that I didn't remember having. So you might say some good come of it but of what I found we didn't need anyway. Plan to do the shake, rattle and roll with the outside Christmas lights too. As I shake in the cold rattling the bulbs I'll be rolling along as fast as I can go.
