Spent a huge part of yesterday morning trying to update our little GPS unit via a purchased CD. Actually I've been trying in short spurts for several days. On one line of the directions it said turn the unit on and plug it in. The poor thing was out of juice but when plugged in the computer powered it. Guess that wasn't good enough because the only thing I did differently was to charge it up so before plugging it into the computer I could turn it on first. Wow, it worked!
The great woman behind the finally successful venture by this man was quick to tell me why directions come with things and how most of the time they should be followed without attempting shortcuts. Gees! I got it now!
For some reason this laptop is having a problem getting out of idle speed this morning so I suppose another cleaning up of it will grasp a big hunk of my morning. I'm really worried about it too because after I mentioned to Dory that because there are no directions on what to do I was being left to my own resources and all she did was shrug her shoulders. Then, she tells me she has pretty much made up her mind to go bowling today. I've been successful in speeding this thing up about 99 time in the past even without the great woman behind me so I'm hoping it won't be any different this time.
