I picked up two very tired ladies in Lake Ozark at the meeting point right at 5:00 pm yesterday. On the way home I learned some about the trip out and the trip back but not too much about their Vegas time. I did get the drift that they weren't able to hang on to what little they won. You know what they say, "What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas".
Today looks like an Eldon trip to replenish the old larder. I did manage to have the prepared food run all week, eating the last of it around noon on Friday. Just the thoughts alone of ham and beans or pork steak quelled any evening hunger and allowed me to go to bed happily without any supper. The huge pot of ham and beans with some raw onions lasted for three days with pre-fried pork steak filling in.
The beans and raw onions created somewhat of a stench in the house and I don't mean while laying in the cooking pot but while laying in my pot gut. Even Tomi chose not to sit in the recliner with me. Anyway there was a cool night and a cool morning that allowed me to open all the doors. I was going to light some candles too but the fear that with all that methane in the air it might cause an explosion I was forced to rely on the opened doors. Everything turned out okay as near as I can tell including my tail.
