February 19

Sitting here looking out across the calm waters of the abandoned playground of self gratifying seekers in their big boats or on the backs of their wave runners, I feel at peace. These are the type waters and the proper atmosphere that one can truly enjoy. The lake has been pretty well turned over to the fishermen and dock repairers. Their numbers don't come close to the warm weather happy time destroyers. This is a good time to live on the lake. Or should that be a better time to live on the lake.

It is a good idea for a person to be as happy as he can with who they are, what they are and where they are, no matter what the conditions. It doesn't hurt to have a few friends either. The thing is, if a friend can't claim much of the aforementioned happy, their skin seems too thin and the friendship floats mighty close to the surface. A little prick here or there and gone is the, so to speak, friendship. Sure, there could be a multiple of reasons for such an evaporation but all of them raise the same question, was such a thing really ever there?

There are many a detour along this crooked road of life, some of them pretty bumpy but never fear, everyone of us will get to our final destination eventually.
