March 30

The crappie are beginning to come to our dock in search of a lure. I've not kept track of how many I haven't disappointed but I've only cleaned 15 so far. Some of those were of the 13" plus size. After snapping my line trying to lift one onto the dock I moved the dip net within reach. Haven't caught on of that size since.

By the wayside, I've also landed and have on a stringer, a really fine couple of non-punctured non-water logged like new encapsulated foam logs (one 4'X4' and one 4'X5'). Maybe I can trade them or sell them for enough to acquire a new 'no wake' buoy'?

Our poor little buoy disappeared a month or so ago. There is an idle speed no wake area within 100 feet from a dock. There are many unable to come even close to estimating that distance therefore a buoy points it out to them. Yep, there are others who don't seem to have any knowledge as to the law or they don't care about it and scoot by between the buoy and the dock at a high rate of speed.........Dang bottom suckers!

Today Glenda is going chop chop to the Rocky Mount Road House where she and several others will participate in the old Chinese game of Mahjong. Suppose they will buy their lunch there but suspect flied lice will not be on the menu.
