July 7

On my third mile around this morning I had a sad glance at nature. As I walked down Memory Lane toward home a noise to my left turned my head where my eyes caught a fast moving glob of brown coming right at me. As I stopped a rather large fawn, but still with spots, came barreling across the road missing me less than three feet. It had terror in it's usually beautiful eyes.

Less than a millisecond later, about ten feet farther down the road, the largest Coyote that I have ever seen rushed out onto the road and paused there. I screamed at him but he paid me no mind and returned to his pursuit.

Don't know the results nor do I want to. Sickeningly, I can't seem to get that few second picture out of my mind!
