65 degrees registered by our temperature teller when we first stirred at 4:33 this a.m. Rain Friday night and some Saturday. It is probably going to be pretty humid today! Another day of any kind is one to be celebrated! I like a lot of others, sometimes take another day for granted and forget about this. We shouldn't do that! Of course as I let Mikey out the door I caught my reflection in the mirror near the door. Kind of looks like I may have celebrated every one of the 24,881 days I've been granted....or awarded.
I can still remember a few/many years back and one of the memories, is of me and others my age making jokes about OLD. There are still a lot of attempts at humor about OLD by some, but personally I've discovered that OLD isn't funny! Well sometimes it's not funny. OLD is like that mold that grows on cheese. It looks like hell but the cheese under there can still be as good or maybe even better than ever. I don't think that OLD is the only thing that slows ones step either. Old is when you've been there and done that earlier in life but all those experiences have helped you realize that just one wrong step and extreme pain or even death can jump in to inflict it's curse upon your body.
Some experienced pains are not dutifully stored in the 'don't do again' area of the brain so they must be suffered over and over again. Like today, Mom got us and her a free overnight stay at the boat in Boonville and we're heading out for that destination in a little bit. FREE!!! Ha! We've been suckered and pained by that place so many times.....I just thank the Lord that it hasn't killed us yet.
Hope you enjoy celebrating your nother day!
