Whew, Dory made it home just fine and on time. Supposed to land at 8:50 but I went into the airport terminal and read where the plane would be in at 9:02. I was still sitting in the car with Mikey, first in line of about 10 cars at the front door, waiting for a time closer to 9:00 to go inside. Was very pleasantly surprised to see Glenda walk out to the car and 8:50. It really excited Mikey and I to see her coming toward us.

Another exciting moment came about 15 minutes later. While waiting for her I had used the cell phone and to be able to half hear on it I had to take the left hearing amplifier out of my ear. I just stashed it over the sun visor and forgot to put it back into my ear after the call. As Glenda approached I jumped out of the car, took her bag and then stowed it in the trunk and we took off.

About a half mile from where I had parked I remembered the hearing aid and reached up to get the darn thing off the sun visor.............It wasn't there! We promptly pulled over and checked the car out to no avail. I turned around to go back to see if it was near where I had parked and if so at least pick up the pieces. You know if it was there with so many cars it had to have been run over. Can you believe most of the cars were still there, especially the one parked directly behind me. Another can you believe, there lay the hearing aid in the road and still all in one piece.

Properly thankful for so many things yesterday but that was a very special bonus! If it hadn't been so late I woulda shoulda found a place to buy some lottery tickets. May take a chance and pick up a couple today anyway
