How can a person be all by themselves and not be alone? Memories my man, memories. I've got 68 years of them stored and they are with me all the time. Well, I may not have a full 68 years worth but I've got a pretty huge collection anyway. They are a mixed bunch but it seems the good ones are holding their own against the bad ones even tho I've heard bad is always the easiest to remember.
Why do I bring this up? The first reason is that I again have nothing I really want to type about and secondly, which probably should have been the first one, Dory is leaving me here again with the animals while she goes to her weekly Mahjong session with a few other oldies.
I do happen to have a handy dandy list provided by Dory, of a few chores that could be done in her absence. I don't know why the words mowing the lawn looks so much nicer than vacuuming. And besides, I vacuumed yesterday. We'll do what we'll do and maybe a few things that we didn't think we'd do. To sum it up, it's going to be one of those doo-doo days around here.

Well now and then things happy happen even around here. Very early this morning I thought one of those times was going to come to pass when Dory said to me, "Larry, why don't we together do that happy and exciting thing today?" My response was an exciting and loud okay!
Stupid me then asked, "what about your migraine or what ever? She replied with, "isn't it funny how that seems to dissipate when I'm playing one of those machines at the Boonville boat?"
Yep, we're off to Boonville in a little bit. A free haha room for the night along with two free haha buffets and they're giving each of us a $5.00 cash gift just to accept the free haha's. Whoopee dang do!
One of us is happy about the plan while the other is a mite disappointed while telling himself that he should have a little happy thought thinking about how we can still do a few exciting things together.

On the little walk the other day I came upon an armadillo. I don't think they see very well as I was just inches away from him before he turned and fled the road. Such claws I've never seen. Got to wondering how much damage could be inflicted on a bare leg as I watched it scuttle off. It must have been wondering too and could have decided to find out because it turned around and came back towards me at a high rate of speed. Don't think for a minute that those animals are always slow!
Anyway, before he got to me, I left the area at a much faster pace than that at which I had arrived. Didn't look back either so can't say what he did or where he went.
Don't think an armadillo would really attack a person but didn't feel obligated to stay around to find out. This armadillo may have just been having a bad day or maybe someone had run over his brother and he is still mad about it. Who knows what might be going on in those pointy little heads.

Lake living is okay but a few things still bother me. One incorporates another old saying....kinda. I have nursed a fear of eating apples almost for as long as we've lived here. Afraid that if I would eat one a day our doc would float off never to return.
Another thing is walking these hills. I still top each hill huffing and puffing like an old cho cho and it takes awhile to get it back down to normal. Just about normal it's time to take on the next hill. I don't mind that but the mixed up pecker gnats keep swarming my nose and because of my hard breathing I've sucked in a couple at times. Spit, spit spit, you never know what they had been swarming before they found my nose.
Constantly trying to shoo those gnats causes drive-bys to think I'm a very friendly person because it appears that I'm waving at them. Now when the horse flies begin to find me the drive-bys think sad thoughts about me because of the stick I carry. When used to run the flies off my body it appears that I'm beating myself in an attempt to force the walk out of me.
Sticks and stones may break my bones but my poorly thought words can surely do a greater damage. But what the hey, I'm not looking for a job anyway.

A partly cloudy start for this day and I believe there is possible rain in the forecast for later in the day and tonight but who ever knows for sure? We can take it and will give as little thought as we can to how fast it is making the grass grow causing the need to mow more often. In these high humidity and hot days I myself might neigh run out of gas before I get all the grass cut each time.
The lawn mower running on that $2.599 gas just barely making it through two mow jobs keeps we wondering which will happen first, me running out of gas completely (a nice way to say die) or us running out of money.
I guess the actual dying can be easy but sometimes it can be a hard and rough place to get to. I for one hope big time that my mamma had an easy time giving me birth. You know how it is, easy come, easy go. If that is so the hard earned money is going to be hard to run out of. That's just nuts and so far not anywhere near true. Must be the hard to run out of is the part that is wrong. We're running out of it which seems to be easy but it sure is hard on the account to pay our bills.
Humm, wait a minute. Stopping this typing and hitting send is pretty easy but the looking for some kind of content that always ends in nothing is never easy. Nothing! Wait a minute! Everyone knows nothing is easy. What was I thinking?

Mild and muggy to begin our day here. I mean you almost need to cut a hole in the humidity to get through it! Mild will be leaving us shortly as really hot arrives to fill in all the cracks. Well, coupled up with muggy they do. I'm not certain that fill the cracks is as correct as clean the cracks. Shoot, I don't know what you would call it but after only a little time outdoors you'll begin to feel a watery solution creeping down all your cracks and crevices and even down the back of your neck. On top of that the solution is also capable of messing with your vision. Makes that "I'm hot to trot" saying sound kinda stupid to me but there seems to be nothing wrong with "when you're hot you're hot".
I can see clearly now as I sit in here looking out the window with the air-conditioned running. Then as my gaze drops to the monitor, I can see clearly that I should have let another day whiz on by without attempting a note. I almost always just type and send on guts alone anyway so what the heck.

Yesterday we allowed the non-caring intimidating boat dock destroyers run us out of the kitchen. Well, you know what I mean, we couldn't stand the heat created by the worry so we packed up and went to Boonville. Before we went to bed last night found out that financial losses can heat you up more than loud careless boaters. Now what to do? We're burnt up at both ends.
Ah, now that I've had my shower and two cups of coffee my outlook has changed somewhat. I've heard said that when one is winning he/she is hot, so I've thought about it and think it needs to be a controlled heat. I think I have that in my power this morning......Only time will tell. I'll work on that a little more on my three mile hike this morning. I walk across the Missouri River bridge then back up through town. Only takes a little over an hour but it is a really good money saving hour.
After our free 'ha ha' buffet we'll stop by 'Dirty Harry's Dog Care', pick Mikey up and head home with high hopes that the dock is still there and not showing the beating it took. That sure would be cool!

The plan was simple, like my brother-in-law Phil. But unlike Phil, this plan just might work.
