Well, it's like this. I've been having problems with my laptop till I couldn't take it anymore. I'd be typing along and look up to find the cursor had jumped off somewhere else. Could find myself typing in the middle of a word several sentences up or maybe a menu of some sort would pop up. At times the program I was typing on would just go away. Messed around trying to find a solution but to no avail. Problems seemed to occur when I would hit the space bar. Thinking it must be the key pad to the repair shop I took it.

After the computer had been there for a week I stopped by. There in lay not touched yet! I could have been using it the whole week. The repairman wasn't in but I complained a little to his wife knowing she would poke him a little.

One week later I stopped by and the repairman told me it was on the bench and should be ready the next day. Picked it up the next day and was told that it must have been a software problem because he had ran a tune up program and the problem seemed to be gone. ($22.50) Got home and discovered the problem still existed.

Called him today and he suggested I try my wireless keyboard to see if it would produce the same problem. It didn't so thought the laptop keyboard was the culprit and called him told him so. He said he had a keyboard ($20) just bring it in and he would get right on it. Bagged it up ready to go when he called back. Said he had been reading about the problem and asked me to tape a business card over the touch pad. My thumb could be hitting it when I hit the space bar..........An Arizona Charlies ultimate rewards card and two small pieces of tape and it works perfectly and paying attention I did notice my thumb touching the card a lot when I hit the space bar. He fixed it with a phone call but didn't offer to give me the $22.50 back.
