Our 2 year old mower hasn't been running properly so I tried changing the oil, air filter and stuck in a new spark plug. No help! I finally went online to find a solution. Learned that I probably had a fuel problem of which I had suspected because every time I was just about to run out of gas the darn thing ran like a new one. Also the new spark plug would foul up after the thing ran for a very few seconds. Spray choke and carb cleaner into the carb and make sure the air filter is clean is what I read.
Next trip to town I bought some choke and carb cleaner and sprayed it good but to no avail. Even ran it without the air filter for a bit but that didn't help either. Back online and after talking to a few folks the next trip to town we picked up a can of Sea Foam to mix in the gas. I mean by now I've got over $20 stuck into that mower!
It would still run and mow but not very good so another trip to Eldon with the mower in tow. Left it at a repair shop where the guy gets an amazing $50 per hour plus any parts needed. He says they always change the oil and sharpen the blade and estimated a $55 cost. I told him that the oil didn't need to be changed and that I could sharpen the blade myself. He then thought around $50 bucks would cover it.
Went back the next day to pick it up and he hadn't even touched it yet tho he had told me he would get on it the day that I had dropped it off. Anyway the next day I went after it again and it was ready. I wasn't ready for the damn $58 bill! Told me he had gone ahead and changed the oil and sharpened the blade anyway saying he didn't think another few bucks over the fifty would cause me any harm. Oh, too he put in a different spark plug instead of cleaning my new one.
I left there broke and pissed but our lawnmower runs like a new one.

When you walk away from an encounter with another in anger, you've just been defeated. Of course that defeat would be easier than getting you ass whipped after popping the guy in the nose.
