Nothing gets so aggravating as all this go green crap! Use fluorescent bulbs they consume less electricity and last longer. Go green! All this sure gets old after awhile. We did bite the bullet one time and bought one of those high priced fluorescent bulbs and have never been satisfied with the amount of light it gives off. Older people such as we, need lots of light!
Somehow I know that the electricity that you use is being sent down the lines to a transformer then into your house as you use it. They poke 120 volts through the wire to the house and then through the house. 120 volts to every plug-in, voltage, but no electricity is actually flowing through it until you plug something in or I guess touch a bare wire while grounded. I understand either would flat get the watts flowing.
Now to my question. If you plug something in that uses 1200 watts to make it work, then unplug it and plug a lamp in to light a 100 watt bulb, what happens to the other 1100 watts? The only thing I know is it costs less to burn the 100 watt bulb but shoot, the 1100 extra watts is there, why can't I run another 11 100 watt bulbs for nothing.
Nothing pretty well describes this note's content. I started with nothing and as far as it goes I held to the theme so I'd say it fits to end it with nothing.
