April 5

I'm telling you I thought it began on April 1 when we decided the lawn needed to be mowed then was later reinforced on the 2nd when we found and harvested a red mushroom.. Now only four days later it sounds like the began is about to falter with some below freezing temperatures slated for the coming week. It may have already started slipping in as it was 58* at 5:00 a.m. and by 8:20 it was down to 55*. Warm weather, warm weather, wherefore art thou warm weather? Dang! This global warming sure seems to keep our weather screwed up.

I have been able to catch a few fish now and then. Only was able to catch two this morning but they were both keepers with one almost 14" long....Now that is a nice crappie. We've not been able to amass many yet so fish giving is slack but for our own eating it is still good.

The Struebbe's are scheduled to be ariving here later today from their Yuma wintering quarters. Glenda is pretty sure they will be worn out from the travel and plans to invite them for supper. Can't feed them fish yet but a roast is defrosting to be cooked.

Another short one which I'm sure you're thankful for.
